Course Levels
At Kinsale School of Languages we offer English Language courses at five levels:

Beginner

Lower Intermediate

Intermediate

Upper Intermediate

Advanced
Clients can choose from three different types of course:
Professional English* (English for Professional
Communication)
These are intensive courses consisting of 20 lessons
per week of conversation and learning activities. The
course is customised for each individual or group of
individuals. The teaching methods employed include the
use of role-play, case studies, presentation and negotiation
skills.
One to One Course for individuals in various professions.
Courses for Individual Companies (One to One or small group).
General
English Courses
These courses consist of 25 lessons per week of conversation
and learning activities. This is the perfect solution
for participants who wish to combine their English course
with sports and other activities.
One to One Courses
Small Groups (From mid-May to Mid-September based on
availability)
Combination General & Specific English Courses
Clients may combine a General English course with some
additional hours of General English or Specific English
by selecting a standard General English Course and adding
some additional hours of General English
English Language Holidays
If clients wish to do so, their English course can be
combined with a programme of leisure activities which
the School is happy to arrange on their behalf (English
with Golf, English with Water-Sports, English with Horse-riding)
with 20 - 35 hours of lessons, these are some examples
of the choices available.
Professional
English*
Courses in English for Professional Communication are
full-time, intensive courses designed to meet the communication
needs of business and professional people they consist
of a minimum of 20 to a maximum of 35 hours per week
and learning activities related to the occupation of
the participant.
Out-of-class learning activities play a central role in these courses and may, if desired by the client, include professional communication with relevant Irish enterprises and organisation.
One to One Courses
The objective of a one-to-one course is to provide intensive English language training to the individual and to make optimum use of his/her personal language learning skills.
Courses for Individual Companies*
These courses are provided for staff of client companies and are customised to suit the needs of each company.
Teaching takes place on a one-to-one basis or in small groups as required by the client company.
English for Specific Purposes
We have considerable experience in providing English courses for a wide variety of professions. The courses are designed for individual clients and for staff of client companies with English language needs in specific professional sectors including:
